About TripScale
TripScale is built around one goal: helping you find the best price. It aggregates public listing data for homes and hotels across cities worldwide, ranks listings by value (lowest price relative to rating), and flags the cheapest option in each city — so you can compare and decide in minutes.
How does price comparison work?
Each listing is collected from public sources and assigned a price. We then rank them by value — the lowest price for the quality shown — and badge the cheapest listing in every city. On each listing page you can also see how its price compares to the city average.
Where does the data come from?
- Homes: real vacation rental listings published by Inside Airbnb as open data (CC0), plus vacation-rental city pages from HomeToGo.
- Hotels: properties listed on Booking.com (found via their public sitemaps), and hostel destination pages from Hostelworld, with estimated nightly price ranges since public hotel prices are not freely available.
How often is it refreshed?
A scraper refreshes listings from the source data daily. Prices and availability should always be confirmed on the source or provider website before booking.
